This book is for my local genealogical society (haven't got very far).   The working title is “Cemeteries, Memorials and Burial Sites in York Region.”  I believe the title says it all.  This would obviously fall into the genre of Non-fiction.  Maybe local history.

So far I have been re-typing the existing histories for each cemetery from the transcripts we have already published.  After that, I will be reviewing the sources that I can find and getting more information.  Also want to add history and cemetery locator maps for each area at the beginning of each section.  Am also planning to include some genealogy on the pioneers and people of historic importance to the local areas.  The book will be in nine sections:  Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King City, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and Whitchurch/Stouffville. There are over 200 cemeteries in York Region, so it will be a pretty fair size book.
