A Grave in the Swamp will be another historical fiction.  Like my story about William, it is based on something that actually happened.  So far I have only gathered newspaper information about this one, and have not actually started to write it.  I've put it on the back-burner until I've finished William's story, and Britany Lake.

A Grave in the Swamp is about a woman who has gone missing - for the second time.  As a young woman, she had a sorted reputation.  After marriage to a local businessman, she turned into the perfect wife.  Then hubby dies, and she goes back to her wild ways.  Eventually she marries again, this time to a well-off farmer.  She left this husband once a few years after the marriage when she ran off with the farm hand.  Now she has gone missing again.  Everyone assumes she has run off with someone, but unlike last time, she did not take the children.  Several days later, her body is found in a shallow grave in a swamp by the farm.  The local constabulary have several suspects:  the new farmhand, a young doctor-in-training who has performed several illegal abortions, a young man who has been hanging around the farm, and a mysterious man with a red bushy moustache.  Naturally her husband is also a suspect.  Who will hang for this murder?
